The Rawn Side of Town is a mother/daughter duo from Shuswap Lake BC Canada consisting of Suzi Rawn and her eldest daughter J Bxby. The Rawn Side of Town is about transmuting pain into power, facing your demons, keeping it real (cuz you ain’t fooling anyone anyway) and making do with what you got. (Don’t have a mic stand? We’ll make one!) Being strong women who have survived a lot and come out stronger, and still have a lust for life and adventure, we are going after our passions and dreams full steam ahead and what could be more badass than that?!
JBxby joined her mothers band (Jon Treichel, Neil Brun, and Richard Graham (decades of experience)) as a summer job playing surrounding towns park music festival series, local pubs and private parties, 2022, but when fall came around it didn’t slow down. Instead, they’ve been branching out, playing surprising covers From Fleetwood Mac to Chris Stapleton to Billie Eilish as well as original songs from J Bxby’s debut album CXLD (released spring 2022) and from their YouTube channel @sistercreekstudios. Their debut self-titled album The Rawn Side of Town released January 2023, and J Bxby’s next album to be released shortly thereafter, will launch them into a busy season ahead.
