Sally (Saori) Arai
Clarinet Soloist. Arai has been the Kamloops Symphony’s Principal Clarinetist since 1989. She completed her Masters in Music performance at the University of British Columbia. Since moving to Kamloops, she has also performed with the Okanagan and Prince George Symphony Orchestras, and with Orchestra Viva in B.C.’s Interior.
Arai is in-demand as a clarinet adjudicator. A respected clarinet teacher, she has had many former students pursue bachelors, masters and even doctoral music degrees. She is well known for her clarinet teaching at the KSMS as well as her MYC classes.
